EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL !!
DO NOT HIRE THEM! Just like other customer has said (their review wasn't public until now) We were treated rudely, and changed the total after they have everything in the truck. We were moving 60 blocks away, and one piece of furniture (table) was to be taking to the business owner's house in the end (15 minutes away) On Wednesday June 10th We were quoted by World Van Lines, in this case on the phone with Christian, a total budget of $645 for a 4 hour move with 1 hour of drive included ($129/hour x 5 hours). We paid the requested $200 deposit with no hesitation. Read all reviews and were confident the move was going to be smooth as we hired professionals. Unfortunately, Friday's move , on June 12th, with World VanLines was very bad and traumatic, the lack of professionalism was far too much and the lack of will to help the customer began the minute our $200 deposit was accepted on Wednesday by Christian and became far too real the minute the movers arrived and everything that occurred the day of the move. It only took 2 hours to wrap all of our furniture and load the truck with our belongings, afterwards they did nothing but try to stretch the time of the move 2.5 hours more before opening the truck at location 2 plus 1.5 hrs more for location 3(not counting moving work time whatsoever, maybe 2 hours of actual moving afterwards), The team leader was extremely rude and had racial remarks about the sales agent (Christian), mismanage our belongings and overcharged TWICE into our account. First of all the documents we were made to sign that day (Friday June 12th, 2020) completely contradict every procedure suggested in the legality of such contract, as easily shown in the following statements. The driver / team leader was unprofessional and condescending and more interested in hanging out with us and being able to tell us about his life than to provide great service. And about how good it was that he was there doing World van Lines 'a favor' ($129/ hour is not a favor, regardless of this situation and specially when a lot of jobs are being lost due to covid-19) They started at 10 am with his remarks on how he was called by your company at 8 am to tell him about this move, again and again, and continuously talking all day about how these "two kids" (young guys) were inexperienced and they couldn't move a finger without his direction. We were told we were hiring PROFESSIONALS and instead we got the worst moving service ever, it took them 2 hours to wrap load all of our furniture, and stretched the rest of the day holding our furniture hostage giving us a completely new quotes over double than what they told us, and got treated very bad. We never complain about mistakes if there's a redeeming quality to the situations, but this was beyond unethical. They even broke 2 tables and he just said, it doesn't matter, it's just two tables, he did a good job. not even an apology.%0d
