Absolutely awful

Long Distance Van Lines is an absolute scam. They charge you way more ($1000!) than they quote you even with detailed dimensions of how big everything is. They don't tell you when you're expected to get your furniture by (or if they do, they're off by days). And they are careless with the furniture itself. My piano (somehow?) got fingerprints *molded* into its veneer! I have no idea how that happened given that they covered it in a blanket, and I can't get rid of it! The furniture my late grandfather had made was all banged up and chunks of it were ripped off. I had mugs broken that were carefully packed in boxes. I had boxes that were somehow all wet and they didn't even notice. I had to submit a claim to get money back for the damage they did to the furniture my grandfather made, which ended up being about $400 worth of damage. They eventually got me my check, but it took them so long that I had actually moved out of the place they helped me move to (1 year later). I had to call them constantly, and it was always someone who couldn't tell me anything about how long it would take. If you are moving with anything valuable, are worried about the price, or need your furniture in a timely manner, don't trust this company. They are completely disorganized, unprofessional, and careless. Read more

I can’t imagine moving without Long Distance Van Lines anymore. We have used it not just for our home moves twice but also for two company moves. Each time, the service is excellent and very good value for the price. This time, we were moving our 3-bedroom home in Missouri to a bigger 3-bedroom house in PA. Responsible and trustworthy

We had a major issue during our move – the movers accidentally damaged a wall at the 2-bedroom property out of which we were moving. Not only would that have meant a loss of our security deposit, but it would be a huge hassle to manage an issue in Ohio from Tennessee, to where we had moved. Complicated move went off smoothly

We had two main problems with moving – one was the narrow hallways of our old home and the other, the stairs in the new one. LDVL’s movers managed to handle both with ease and all our items and the building were unscathed. I was so sure that I would have items broken during a move again I nearly opted for (very expensive) moving insurance. Instead, it seems you can save your insurance money and your precious items by just choosing Long Distance Van Lines. The movers were definitely careful with all my things when moving them but they also went out of the way to ensure that all the items I had packed myself were protected and safe. I had Alex and Bogdan on move day. They called before they arrived, were punctual and did not waste time getting to work. Super-fast, super-efficient

I don’t know what I’d have done without Long Distance Van Lines! I had to make an emergency move to Texas from my NY studio for personal reasons and they helped coordinate and execute the whole thing at short notice.
